Hair loss causes us to suffer because it robs us of our natural, youthful appearance. This is especially true when we lose our hair early in life. Many who lose their hair and become depressed and anxious feel bad about themselves for being “vain” and “caring too much” about the loss of their hair. But let’s face one thing. Hair is important. It has a vital function of protecting our scalp from the sun, from cold and more. Hair on top of our head balances out our appearance. It makes us look and feel whole. So when we’re deprived of our natural, youthful appearance, it’s difficult to accept and to deal with. We feel unattractive and judged by others. Depending on how strong our own sense of self is, the depression and anxiety of hair loss can virtually reach into every part of our lives, advisedly affecting our self concept and our self confidence. For some, hair loss isn’t a big problem and they go on living with no apparent negative repercussions. Good for them! But others suffer greatly and seek out solutions to their hair loss. Good for them, too! We only caution hair loss sufferers to perform their due diligence when choosing a studio or clinic to assist you in treating your hair loss. It’s a blow to lose one’s hair. It’s a double blow to spend a lot of time and money trying to achieve a natural, youthful look and to be taken advantage of by subpar service providers. Do your research!
